YouTube Virginity

Sometime early July, I found myself thinking, how me and some friends can make a YouTube video that would attract enough attention such that people would go to a cocktail event. Before I confuse you guys any further, let me give you a little background information. Essentially, 4 Monash societies (badminton, modern Jazz, Taiwan and Hong Kong) decided to collaborate to organize a cocktail party together. So I was entrusted along with 3 others to promote the event.

We didn't want to have a generic video that had people partying and having a good time at a club with like bits of information flying about. Well because, lets be honest, its not THAT interesting. Following the success of many other YouTube videos, we ended up deciding that it would be better to try and make something funny, and hopefully it would turn viral (at least within the 4 clubs). All that sharing would ONLY do us good right?? Right?

Also we thought that it would be a good idea to create a series, instead of just one promotional video. Well, I'm hoping it just helps people look forward to the videos each week, automatically reminding themselves, "Hey, the party is coming up!"

I ended spending the whole of my winter holidays working with a couple of people to come up with this. StarryWonderland 2012 Ep.1. Well the other episodes are on YouTube, I won't link them to you guys, least you think i'm trying to sell tickets to you too! What do you guys think about the videos?

What do you guys think the criteria would be for my promotional team to consider the videos an eMarketing success? Comment below and let me know guys!

P.S let me know too if you're simply just interested in the party!
